About this book
Paul assures a persecuted church that God sees its suffering and will judge justly when Christ returns. He corrects claims that the day of the Lord has already arrived, explaining that rebellion and the revelation of the lawless one must come first. Believers must love the truth and stand firmly in what they have been taught. Waiting for Jesus does not mean abandoning daily responsibilities: those able to work should work quietly instead of depending on others or meddling. Paul calls for prayer, patient correction, and perseverance in doing good.
