About this book
Christ is supreme over creation and the church; through Him, God brings forgiveness and reconciliation. Paul urges believers to stay rooted in Christ rather than depend on human traditions, persuasive arguments, or outward religious rules. Those raised with Christ must leave their former sinful ways and put on compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, and love. His word and peace should shape their hearts, speech, homes, and work. The letter closes with fair treatment of others, persistent prayer, wise use of opportunities, gracious speech, and faithfulness in each person’s ministry.
