About this book
Writing from prison, Paul shows that joy rests in Christ rather than comfortable circumstances; even suffering can advance the gospel. He calls believers to unity and the humility of Jesus, who chose service and obedience over self-exaltation. Knowing Christ matters more than status or achievements, and Paul keeps pressing toward the goal. Prayer with thanksgiving, thoughts shaped by what is true and good, and faithful practice bring peace. He closes with gratitude for the church’s support and contentment through Christ’s strength, whether he has little or much.
