About this book
Paul leaves Titus in Crete to put the churches in order, appoint leaders of proven character, and correct deceptive teaching. Sound doctrine must be visible in believers’ conduct, homes, and work. God’s grace trains His people to reject ungodliness and live uprightly while awaiting Christ’s return. Salvation comes from God’s mercy, not earned works, and the Holy Spirit renews those He saves. This changed life produces kindness, humility, practical help, respect for authority, and good works rather than quarrels and division.
